You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom

to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. ~Galatians 5:13 NIV

FOR EVERYONE

  • The Penners are in town. Friends are organizing a Despedida party so that you and the students can spend some time with them in person before they return to Canada. Put a mark your calendar on May 31, 2017, between 12:00 noon through 3:30 pm. The location will be announced soon. ~Mrs. Tirona

  • LIBRARY END-OF-YEAR NOTICE: Please keep the following dates in mind as you prepare for the end of the school year:

    • Today, May 24 - Seniors must return all library materials.

    • Friday, May 26 - All library materials are due. There will be no check outs after this date.  Exceptions will be made for teachers for classroom use.

    • Monday, May 29 - Last day the secondary side of the library will be open for public use. There will be no access to the Parent/Volunteer Workplace after this date.

  • The prosecution charges Tom Buchanan with Criminally Negligent Homicide in the death of Jay Gatsby of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. But can they show that George Wilson actually murdered Jay Gatsby? The English 3 students are holding a mock trial on Friday, May 26 and Monday, May 29 during periods 2 and 5.  We are looking for a jury! Please let Mrs. Maxwell know if you'd like to participate or just come and observe.

  • Are you stressed with unnecessary schoolwork? Are you looking for a way to splash them all away? Then look no further. Come to the pool on Friday, the 26th, for ExCo's end of the year party. Tickets are on sale in front of the high school office for P40 during lunch and after school. There will be complimentary snacks and drinks, a movie under the stars at the pool, and great food from the food truck stationed at the parking lot area. The venue opens at 5, and the movie begins at 6. Come end the year right with us. ~Mikaela Sun for ExCo

  • For everyone who is interested in going out for high school sports next year and did not get their Athletic Physical done last year, Athletic Physicals will be on July 31, 2017 from 2:30 - 5 pm. in the the Meeting Hall. If you can't remember when your last Athletic Physical was, the list is in the Health Office along with the sign up sheets! It will only be offered one day - if you can't make it on that day, you will need to make arrangements to have it done somewhere else over the summer break. ~Health Services Office

  • Each year many aquatic animals die from ingesting discarded plastic. Today is the International Day for Biological Diversity, marking the importance of sustainable tourism and biodiversity. What is biodiversity? It simply refers to the diversity of living organisms in our world. In light of an increasing amount of species at risk of extinction, nations around the world have promised to do more to prevent wildlife trafficking and environmental damage due to tourism. Be mindful of how you treat the environment. The little things you do can make a difference. ~MUN Officers
