FOR EVERYONE

  • The 2017 Tiwalan is here! Pick up your pre-ordered copy WITH A RECEIPT or pay P1500 at the window of the Tiwalan room (P29a where school photos were taken) while supplies last. Don't miss out on owning your copy of the 60th year of Faith Academy! ~Love, Tiwalan

 

  • The Penners are in town. Friends are organizing a Despedida party so that you and the students can spend some time with them in person before they return to Canada. Put a mark your calendar on May 31, 2017, between 12:00 noon through 3:30 pm. The location will be announced soon. ~Mrs. Tirona

 

  • LIBRARY END-OF-YEAR NOTICE: Please keep the following dates in mind as you prepare for the end of the school year:

    • Today, May 26 - All library materials are due. There will be no check outs after this date.  Exceptions will be made for teachers for classroom use.

    • Monday, May 29 - Last day the secondary side of the library will be open for public use. There will be no access to the Parent/Volunteer Workplace after this date.

    • May 30 – June 1 - Secondary Library will be a quiet study place for grade 9 to 11 students. The secondary library will be closed for all other purposes.

    • Friday, June 2 - The library will be closed all day.  



FACULTY STAFF

  • Blessings on the Buntings-- Stop by the Middle School or High School teachers' lounges on Monday, May 29 for some special merienda and to write a note of blessing on Nate and Val Bunting as they bring closure to their time at Faith Academy and move on to their new assignment. Notes will be provided, or bring your own. ~Mrs. Bauck

 

  • IGCSE exams run until May 26th. Please consult the timetable and list of students involved that was shared previously on Google docs. Students should be outside the exam room 10 minutes before the start of their exams. ~Mrs. Gocon



HIGH SCHOOL

  • IGCSE English Literature exam runs today at 8:15 am. Please check rooms and get there 10 minutes before the scheduled start. ~Mrs. Gocon

 

  • Seniors: You will need to get your lockers checked today as part of your checkout. You can get your locker checked during lunch or 8th period. If you have an 8th period class, please make sure to get your locker checked during lunch. ~HS Office

 

  • Faith Rugby Festival! Today after school we will be holding a final round of rugby games for the year. A tackle game will start at 3:30, with touch games afterwards. Come down to the pitch for one last run. ~Faith Academy Rugby Football Club

 

  • Juniors: You will get to choose your lockers for senior year during lunch on Monday. Come to the senior hall to select your desired locker. ~HS Office

 

  • All you Cross Country runners, or wanna-be runners. I'm giving away Starbucks gift cards to runners who complete 100k or 200k cumulative distances during the summer break. Email me for more info. ~Coach Isaac

 

  • Calling all you Thespians! The time has come to audition for next year's Advanced Drama Class. If you would like to be part of the class, you must audition next week. Come check out the information on the bulletin board outside of the drama room. ~Mrs. French

 

  • Attention Seniors! Please stop by the HS office and pick up your tickets for the Senior Breakfast by this Friday, May 26. The breakfast is on Thursday, June 1, at 9:00 AM and is for seniors and their parents. If your parents are not attending, you may invite one friend or sibling to take their place. ~Mr. & Mrs. Eichenauer

 

  • Concert Choir will be holding auditions Monday through Wednesday, May 29 - 31 in the Choir Room.  All high school students are open to audition. Please note - only new students and those returning from furlough will be permitted to audition next August. Sign-up times and audition details are posted in the glass case outside the Choir Room.   • The prosecution charges Tom Buchanan with Criminally Negligent Homicide in the death of Jay Gatsby of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. But can they show that George Wilson actually murdered Jay Gatsby? The English 3 students are holding a mock trial today and Monday, May 29 during periods 2 and 5.  We are looking for a jury! Please let Mrs. Maxwell know if you'd like to participate or just come and observe.  

 

  • Come to the pool today for ExCo's end of the year party. Tickets are on sale in front of the high school office for P40 during lunch and after school. There will be complimentary snacks and drinks, a movie under the stars at the pool, and great food from the Shawarma Brothers food truck. The venue opens at 5, and the movie begins at 6.   • For everyone who is interested in going out for high school sports next year and did not get their Athletic Physical done last year, Athletic Physicals will be on July 31, 2017 from 2:30 - 5 pm. in the the Meeting Hall. If you can't remember when your last Athletic Physical was, the list is in the Health Office along with the sign up sheets! It will only be offered one day - if you can't make it on that day, you will need to make arrangements to have it done somewhere else over the summer break. ~Health Services Office

 


MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Like running? Like prizes? If you did not get a chance to sign up for the Cross Country Club you still have a chance to join. Just Email Miss Benson and let her know you are interested. She will be sending you a workout schedule for the summer to help you prepare for Cross Country season next year. Whoever runs 100k during the break gets a Starbucks gift certificate. ~Coach Isaac
