“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall

be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. ~Isaiah 1:18 NIV

Announcement for Everyone

  • Did you know: Every two seconds a person need blood, and more than 38,000 blood donations are needed everyday. The National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive for all parents, staff, and students ages 16 and older on Tuesday, November 15. Students age 16-17 must have permission from their parents. All students must receive permission from their teachers to miss class. Sign up in the high school office for a convenient time between 7:30 and 1:30. Donate blood; save a life. ~NHS

  • What’s more fun to receive for Christmas? Toothpaste or colored pencils? Shampoo or a jump rope? First Aid items or a toy water gun? Instead of wrapping hygiene packs for A4J this year, NHS is promoting The Angel Tree Project which seeks to provide an age- and gender-appropriate gift for the 400 neighborhood children who attend A4J. Commit now to purchase a small gift and bless a neighborhood child. More details on the way! ~NHS

High School

  • SENIORS: We have a class meeting today at lunch in the Home Ec room. ~Mrs. Winslade

  • On November 9th a group of you left The V in a terrible mess. There were paper plates, wrappers, leftover food, utensils, scattered all over the floor and the tables. This behaviour is completely unacceptable and shows an embarrassing lack of self control on the part of the individuals concerned. To the vast majority of you who know how to follow basic expectations of cleanliness and decency my apologies that you even have to listen to this announcement - it is not for you! To those of you who think that cleaning up after yourself, and treating the facility of The V with respect, is neither required nor expected make sure that the intent and tone of this message clearly sears itself into your brain! DON'T DO IT AGAIN! ~Mr. Taylor
