29 January-2 February - Spiritual Emphasis Week

posted Jan 28, 2018, 3:31 AM by HSD Principal
It's Spiritual Emphasis Week. Remember that our schedule will be modified this week to accommodate a chapel session almost every day. Keep praying that God would change hearts and lives during this week.

At the end of the day on Tuesday will be some time to prep for your Ministry Day site activities. The sign-up sheet includes the list of all students who will be at your sites and indicates the student site leader in bold. Coordinate with your student leaders to figure out what you will need to prepare and plan for. The Ministry Day Schedule lists the locations where student will be meeting on Tuesday, so check that you will be in the right spot. If you will be on campus, the schedule will let you know how much time you should be plan for each activity.

After school on Tuesday, ASERT will be the next installment of your book study group. Meet in the location chosen by your group last week.

For Ministry Day on Friday, it will be a non-uniform day so students may dress accordingly for their sites - and you may as well. For most of you, the schedule will not matter, but if you are on campus, make sure you plan accordingly for the available time. And if your site has finished it's work, there will be a reflection and sharing time at the end of the day in Tipunan.

Next week is middle school Outdoor Ed. There is still a lot of work to do this week in preparing for it, so be praying for the program, but also for God to use the time in the lives of the students. I - and several other high school teachers and students - will be participating that week, so be praying for us as well. The participating students will be bringing around their Planned Absence Forms this week to give you a chance to help them know how they can work ahead.

Make sure you have completed your mid-year goals review if you haven't yet.

I did another round of walk-throughs last week and was excited by the learning I saw happening in your classes. Thanks for helping develop a generation of Christ-Like, life-long learners.
