Week of May 16

Three weeks seems barely enough time to get it all done but it will get done! This coming week…

- EXAMS: The exam survey is due on Monday (see email from me.) EVERYONE should fill in the form even if you are not giving a final exam. By now, Seniors who have less than a B- in your class should have been alerted that they will need to take your final exam. Again, please make sure to have a conversation with me before giving a final grade of D or F to any of your students.

- END of YEAR: There are many details and dates to remember this last month of school. For your convenience, please keep this End of year - need to know 2016 handy.

- ACADEMIC AWARDS:Department leaders, please make sure the list of awardees for your departmental awards has been turned in by Tuesday.

- OUTSTANDING SENIORS: The second round of voting begins this week. Jon has shared the form with you. Please do give comments for the Senior Boy and Girl you are voting for.

- SENIOR PRESENTATIONS: It’s all happening this Tuesday.  Please be sure to read all the instructions sent by Steve Hong and be ready for a 2pm start that day. Let’s encourage our Seniors.

- GOALS: Goals meetings are ongoing. Mars has been scheduling them so please contact her if you have any concerns about your scheduled time. Your GOALS SHEET (in your GOALS folder) is the basis for our meeting, so please make sure you fill this in completely before we meet. Also include all the professional development activities you have been involved in (see the email from Brian Foutz this past week.)

- CHROMEBOOK: If you are contemplating trying out the Chromebook as your mainstay teacher device in your classroom (as opposed to your classroom desktop), please come see me ASAP. We have only five available to be assigned to HSD teachers next year, so first come first served. (Available to full-time teachers who are willing to explore the pros and cons of using Chromebooks and to share their discoveries with admin.)

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." (Isaiah 26:3)
