Accreditation Week

posted Mar 11, 2018, 4:14 PM by HSD Principal

Thank you for being a part of our accreditation process last week - even if you weren't looking forward to it. The team loved being here on campus and seeing what we were doing as a school.
Thanks also for being flexible as team members were in and out of your rooms and students were coming and going for team discussions.

Ethics Interviews

posted Feb 25, 2018, 2:55 PM by HSD Principal

I want to give a shout out and thank you to all my wonderful colleagues who have given time to my students for their Ethics interviews project.  The students learn that these topics are probably more complex than they originally thought, and they get to observe how people think and come to conclusions about ethical issues.  I am always pleased to read about the good and godly advice they get from their teachers.  You guys are the best!

Thank your for making the earthquake drill quick and successful. Since it went so well, we should not have to have another earthquake drill this school year.

Any Number Can Die

I hope you were all able to see the Advanced Drama play this week. It was a fun play - my kids wanted to see it multiple times - and showcased the skills of our students.

Great job, Lori and cast! And also to Dave, Jason, Glen and the rest of the crews who pulled it off.

Self-Directed Learners!

As we are focusing on our SLR for being a Self-Directed Learner this year, it was good to see you all modeling that during our inservice last week. I heard a lot of encouraging feedback about the two days, so thank you for engaging over multiple teaching practices. If you haven't yet, fill out the Learning Fair feedback form Angela sent out.
